Top 4 Internet Scams & Frauds in 2014

lookout for online scamsApart all the useful stuff and information the Internet is also full of a lot of scams and fraudulent practices. As the old scams get to be known by most people a lot of new ones emerge all the time in order to fool unsuspecting Internet users.
In this article I’ll list you all the new scams that emerged and became infamous in 2014.

MLM for various health products

Now, this isn’t a completely new idea and has been around for ages but apparently around 2013-2014 these scams have reached the mainstream. These scams work by pretending to offer money making possibilities to people in need.
Companies like these approach people in need of money and tell them that they can make money by becoming marketers for their products. The only thing these people will have to do is to convince their friends to become marketers themselves. Once those friends will promote and sell the products of the company the person who convinced them to join will receive a commission on their sales.
These companies usually present a chart according to which if you refer an X number of friends and each one of them refers another Y, then you will be making massive amounts of money by just getting the commissions based on the sales that your friends and their friends etc. generate.
The scam is that marketing of this kind never works. You will not be able to build a long pyramid of friends who all are top marketers who sell many products offered by the company. This stuff just doesn’t works.
On the other hand, in order to participate you will be obliged by the company to make an initial purchase of certain products the company offers. Supposedly this is in order so you may learn and test each product in order to be able to better promote them.
If you haven’t figured it out yet by now, then let me write it down in plain language: YOU are the end customer.
Essentially what’s happening in these scams is that the company does not even intend you to go out and find people to recruit them as marketers. All they are interested in is to get you to purchase the “trial” product package they offer. If you actually manage to convince some of your friends to join then that’s even better as he or she will also have to purchase that so-called trial package.

Binary options

Binary options are a form of financial trading that allow people to bet on the future movement of various financial assets such as gold, silver etc. Essentially, in binary options you will have to predict if the value of an asset will go up or go down during a given time frame.
If your prediction will be correct then you will win a certain amount of money promised before you opened the trade. If you lose, you’ll lose all the money you’ve invested into opening the bet.
There isn’t necessarily anything wrong with this concept expect that a significant number of websites that offer binary options are simply a scam. Once you make a deposit at these websites you will never see your money back. Even if you actually win, the website will simply refuse to pay you no matter what.
While there are legitimate binary options companies available on the Internet, there is a long list of binary options brokers that are a scam and a fraud, as shown on the linked page. So, for the sake of safety people should be staying away complete from this form of trading until the waters will settle.

Fitness Products

Fitness products are nothing new but like the previous two scams they also became increasingly popular this year. Fitness scammers in the past sold their fake products on low-quality websites with terrible designs, which resulted in people avoiding these sites during the recent years.
These days it’s almost impossible to sell health products on a low-quality and ugly websites, as these sites are – rightfully – associated with fraud and scams. For this reason, scammers upgraded their arsenal and began creating nice and shiny websites that follow common web-development and marketing best practices.
The products these websites sell can range from various issues such as fast muscle gain, fat loss, libido enhancement and more. However, all they have in common is that they are usually completely fake.
While these products might not necessarily do any harm (as they usually only contain sugar or flour) they are obviously a complete waste of money.
So, how to distinguish legit online fitness retailers from scams? – There’s two ways. One is to only purchase from providers that also have a very strong offline retail presence. The other is not to purchase any fitness and health products from the Internet and rather ask for advice and recommendations from a licensed physician.

Internet stock trading

Internet stock trading is obviously not a scam in itself. There’s a massive number of online stock trading platforms offered over the internet and a large number of people use them on a daily basis.
The problem with Internet stock trading is that a lot of trading companies have emerged that prey on people with zero trading experience. They usually offer so-called deposit bonuses, which is additional money given on people’s deposits, in order to convince them to register and trade.
These companies generally don’t care if you win or lose as they take a away a commission from the money you have deposited and invested. Sometimes they even get a commission from the companies they recommend you to invest in. You’ve seen The Wolf of Wall Street? – That’s how some online trading sites work.
These are the most prevalent online scams in 2014. As you can see, most of these are disguised as legitimate form of marketing, trading, investing or self-improvement. This is the reason why you have to be very cautions these days when dealing with these things.http://www.debtroundup.com/top-4-internet-scams-frauds-2014/

Get More Followers and Increase Engagement With These 7 Twitter Tips

Most social media experts will say that the core to Twitter greatness is:
  1. Providing real value and engaging with others
  2. Acting the way you would act in a real life situation
  3. Never spamming
  4. Building meaningful relationships
These foundational concepts are hugely helpful in making Twitter really work for you. And when you’re ready to build on these foundations and scale your Twitter engagement and reach, there are some useful next-level tactics that work great, too.  I’ve had a chance to test out some of the advanced tips and tricks to more followers and increased engagement on Twitter, and I’d love to share them with you and hear what you think!
twitter-tips-get-more-followers

1. The strategic way to follow people on Twitter

If you’re trying to promote a business or a startup using Twitter, you typically need three things to make it work:
  1. A story (or a message)
  2. Reach
  3. Engagement
Let’s focus on reach.
If you go to followerwonk.com and search for “content marketing,” sort it by “social authority” and pick the first five individual (not company) Twitter accounts, you’ll notice an interesting pattern:
Except for John Luke, do you recognize a pattern here? Most of these Twitter masters follow an amazing amount of people.
If you’ll look for the next 5 Top social authority twitter users ranking high for content marketing you’d get the same ratios (with a few exceptions of course).
twitter-tips-get-more-followers
This means that these people followed a large amount of other Twitter users to get to those big numbers of followers they have today.
Here’s where strategy comes in: It’d be great to get tons of followers but also make sure you have a qualified and engaged following.
This is where Twitter tools like Tweepi come in handy. Tweepi has two important features that will come in handy
  1. “Follow Followers”—a feature that enables you to see who’s following a specific Twitter account
  2. “Flush”—shows you who you’re following that isn’t following you back
twitter-tips-get-more-followers
One of the most strategic ways to get new followers who are relevant to your content and niche is to follow people who are already following a Twitter account that you share the same target audience with.
On Tweepi, you can find this information in the “Follow Followers” section. Enter the username of a Twitter user you admire and you can see all the users who are following that account. Choose a large handful to follow, and you are likely to see many of these users follow you back. I usually get a follow back rate of about 20-25%.
Now for part two: Flushing.
Every so often, you can check into the Tweepi tool to see all the people you are following but are not following you back. If you want to keep your following/follower ratio balanced, you can use this information to clean up the list of people you follow (tools like Tweepi also can show you which accounts are no longer active, too).
twitter-tips-get-more-followers
Using this method of finding targeted, relevant people to follow on Twitter and regularly checking in with my follow/follower ratio, I was able to see some great results.
I went from 10-12 people following me per week to about a 100 per week.
Also, my engagement improved by over 32%.
More people are clicking on my content (raised my average by about 3x) and sharing it.

2. The effective way to share a call-to-action

Occasionally, you may have the opportunity to engage with individuals and share with your community about some awesome things going on at your site—new products, new announcements, new ways to connect and share with one another. You don’t have to be shy with promoting (more on this below). It also feels great to do so in the right way.
Here are five tips that I’ve found to work really well when promoting your content on Twitter.
1. Remember to sound human and authentic –  People enjoy being spoken to in a sincere way. When composing your tweets, feel free to speak casually and comfortably with your audience.
2. Focus on the benefits - You don’t necessarily need to ask people to buy from you; instead, talk about what’s in it for him or her.
3. Be very specific – Don’t ask them to check your blog. Offer them to read more about the type of content your provide.
For example, if you were sharing with a new follower about the other places to find you online, you might say this: ‘Welcome aboard! Now that you’re following us on Twitter, you should also check out our blog!”
This will work better:  “Welcome aboard! If you’re interested in content marketing and growth hacking you should check out our blog”.
If your content is right for me, I will recognize it right away and will click on your link.
4. Make it the beginning of your funnel - Don’t just send someone to your site, but create a landing page welcoming them. That’s where you make the experience more personal.
5. If possible, use a branded link – By using a branded shortener you’ll make your new followers feel safer.

3. The new rule for following others back

I’ve often heard the Twitter advice to follow back all those who follow you. I’ve found a slight alternative that seems to work well for me:
Follow back the accounts that interest you.
If you’re not interested in a specific Twitter user’s content, you don’t need to feel the pressure to follow back. If they’re interested in your content, they will keep following you and become an engaged reader. When they start engaging with you – that’s when you follow back.
This is the right way to build the following/followers ratio—by posting great content that gets people to follow you and by not following people who aren’t engaging with you.

4. Influencer outreach can wait

One of the most important insights Kristoffer Tjalve shares on his post “The story behind #BeTech” is how to relate to influencers on Twitter.
Do not worry too much about the influencers. The influencers are already super busy doing their own stuff. Rather, you should focus all your energy in making the life better for those who are (connecting with you).
While most social media experts will tell you to try and engage with influencers so you’ll get more credibility and followers, it’s quite hard to do.
Influencers are extremely busy most of the time and are probably responding to tens if not hundreds of mentions on Twitter daily. They will usually have their own content to promote and their own very clear agenda to follow.
The content world is divided into roughly two major groups:
  1. Content creators
  2. Content curators
Content creators are the ones people seek their attention. Content curators and just-beginning content creators are usually the attention seekers.
If you’re just starting out and want to build your following, start by attracting the content curators, they are the ones who will actually share your content and be the foundation of your increasing reader-base.
After a while, when enough content curators notice you and start following and retweeting you, you will understand that for a small niche, you have become an influencer. Then, it will be the time to reach out to other influencers by email. Not as a newbie looking for attention, but as an equal.

5. Tweet the same content multiple times

Remember this tip? “If you share the same link more than once, your followers will take you for a spammer”.
Up until recently there was a strong belief that your audience doesn’t want you to share the same content more than once. That it is recycled content and you need to put more emphasis on creating higher value and share new stuff all the time.
In reality, most of your audience wouldn’t see your next blog post if you share it just once. Posting the same (valuable) content more than once won’t annoy your followers.
What it will do is get you more traffic, you’ll hit different timezones and reach new followers.
Some of the main takeaways:
  1. If you tweet something only once, a lot of people will miss it because their Twitter feeds are crowded with content. If you’ll tweet it multiple times there’s a bigger chance more people will catch it than people seeing it for the second time and thinking it’s spam.
  2. If your audience lives in different timezones, one’s morning is another’s nighttime. Posting the same content at least once per time zone is recommended.
  3. There are new followers on board – If you’re implementing the technique I showed you on the first section, then you’re getting about 100-120 new followers every week. This means that there are over 100 new followers who haven’t seen the content you shared last week. If you have interesting posts they might enjoy or find helpful, re-sharing them will increase the chances they’ll actually see it.

6. Forgo your timeline

If you’re using Twitter as a personal social media outlet, you’d want to keep your timeline clean and clutter free. If you want to get hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers, you’ll need to start following a lot of people and your timeline will soon be unbearable for the naked eye. Try following the feed of over 23K users. You’ll go crazy.
Most social media gurus will tell you to take advantage of Twitter lists in your marketing efforts, but keep your Twitter feed clean so you can interact with your followers. That’s nice advice, but not scalable.
What you really need to do is to come to peace with the idea that the timeline is not for you anymore. From now on, lists are your new home.

5 Lists I Think Every Marketer Should Create:

1. The timeline you wished you had - This is basically the following mix you used to enjoy before becoming a Twitter master.
2. Journalists and bloggers - Keep a tidy and up to date list of every journalist that covers your area of business. You’d want to engage with them so they’ll keep you in mind, see what they’re writing about so you can offer more information or guest posts. Remember, a good relationship with journalists means more PR (if you play your cards right).
3. Influencers - A great way to keep up to date with all current trends is by following other influencers. See what they are posting, share the best content they put out, plan your own content by seeing what works for them and see who they are engaging with, so you could get into the conversation as well.
4. Customer/ Clients – You want to build a strong relationship with your clients, so follow them on Twitter, help them when they are in need and spontaneously engage with them on daily events, just so they will see how much attention and effort you are willing to spend on them. They are worth it.
5. Competitors - Yes, you should have a list (probably private) dedicated only to your competitors. You want to know what they are up to and how you can learn from them.

7. It’s okay to sell your content & your product on social media

Content marketing is about providing value for your followers and engaging through interesting and engaging content. If your product / blog post / Ebook has real value (and I hope it has!) feel free to drop in a clear call to action along with the content you post regularly.
Take Retweeting for example: Do you know what are the best methods to getting more retweets? It’s asking people to retweet your content. You get a 12% more chance of getting retweets if you simply ask for it.
twitter-tips-get-more-followers
Same goes for downloading an Ebook, reading a new blog post of buying your product. If you provide the right context a direct call to action will significantly improve your chances of getting people to take the desirable action.

Which counterintuitive tips might you use?

With the evolution of social media and inbound marketing over the past 5 years a lot of what was considered as rude or ill-advice on Twitter has become obsolete.
You are no longer struggling on creating the best content out there, but to get noticed and acknowledged by as many relevant readers as possible. Like every meaningful growth, you will never achieve it by doing what everybody else is doing, only by finding the right combination that works for you.

7 Great ways to get started making online income right now

Ready to take the plunge and actually make some online money? Here are 7 ways of getting started RIGHT NOW!

Online income

The purpose of this article is to show you that there are a ton of ways of making money online. We live in a great time where anybody can make a decent income and more, just from sitting at home on a computer in their underwear!
That doesn't mean that making the money is easy though, work is still required, these are not get rich quick schemes!
Just starting out with your online journey?
Well then find something from this list and get started.
It really is the best way to learn.
First hand experience at anything, even if it fails is priceless.
I have personally tried every one of these methods with varying results. Some work much better for me than others. You will of course have different results.
You can ponder what to do for a lifetime and think of every reason under the sun why something won't work. You have to start somewhere so make a start on your online income journey right now!

1. Selling a service

This is a popular way of making money online, probably because of the low barrier to entry. Although this entirely depends on what kind of skill set you have and what you want to offer.
The idea is that you find something you are able to do that other people will pay for.
Easy huh!
A simple way to get started is to head over to micro transaction sites like fiverr.com and offer a service for $5.
That doesn't seem a lot of money!!??
It's not, but create a good service that people want and repeat it many times and it can be! Lots of people make a full-time living from so called micro-entrepreneurship. If you want to know more about selling on fiverr we have an article that covers it in much more detail.
Broadly speaking there are 2 types of reasons buyers require services online:
They don't have the time to do something, or they don't have the skill set to do something
People have little time so if they can farm something out to somebody else for a cost that seems reasonable then they will. If you can do that job efficiently for many people for a decent return then well done, you've started an online business for yourself.
Owning a desirable skill is the key to charging much more for your services. If you can write web programs or consult on somebodies business, people are going to pay a lot more for you if you are at a senior level.
As with offline services, to ultimately get ahead you need to become good at marketing yourself and gain trust and positive feedback from doing a good job.

PROS

  • Extremely low barrier to entry. People pay for things that they don't want to do and you can get started on micro transaction sites like Fiverr right away.

CONS

  •  Getting to a point where you can earn a substantial income requires having a decent skill set which can take time to acquire.
  • If you sell your own time for money, you only have so many hours in the day in which to deliver. Regular readers of this site will know that we preach that forms of passive income are more desirable if they can be obtained.

2. Sell products on eBay

The online auction site is probably the first thing many people would think of when thinking of ways to make money online.
Yes everybody knows you can make money on eBay.
But, there is a huge difference to selling your old shoes on eBay and making good money from the site.
Powersellers have learned that eBay can be extremely lucrative.
As with traditional 'market' models the key to eBay is to sell an item for more than you have paid for it. Well obviously!...
Finding products at a low price can be half the battle.
Some hobbyists will hunt for bargains in local thrift stores/charity shops and auction them off. More seasoned sellers will buy in bulk from China from websites like Ali Baba at a low cost.
If you want a simple technique to get you started making some easy profits then check out our article on eBay & Amazon dropshipping (buying items from Amazon cheaply and selling them for profit on eBay)

PROS

  • You can start selling your own personal unwanted items to get started making some easy cash
  • If you have your own product to sell, eBay can be a good tool to sell your items. Depending on what you are selling you might want to check out sites like etsy etc

CONS

  • Scaling up to becoming a powerseller can take time and a lot of energy. You need to have good wholesale contacts to get cheap products and you need a keen eye for what sells well. The site also has many intricacies and ways of doing things. You will need to become an eBay expert to compete with the competition!

3. Start a blog and monetize it

There is a reason why a lot of people preach that starting a blog can be a great way of earning income.
You get to spend time writing and educating people about a subject that you love.
That is not to say that everybody writes blogs about the things they actually enjoy though. Some have spotted niche markets and write blogs about obscure topics purely because they can monetize them. I have spent time writing blogs like this and let me tell you:
It's no fun!
Being passionate about something shows in people's writing. It also plays a key part in whether you will actually keep the blog going. You are also going to need a good knowledge about the subject you want to write about, if you are taking on a niche you know little about then study up first or outsource the articles.
The key to blogs is keeping readers engaged and delivering good content. If you have a large following then monetizing the website soon follows.
There are several ways you could monetize your blog:
You might write reviews about something and include an affiliate link to the product you mentioned. An affiliate link kicks you back a small commission for sending a buyer (this comes at zero extra cost to the buyer)
Another way is advertising banners on your site. A popular method is Google's Adsense program. If your blog meets their criteria you can stick the code they give you on your site and be earning straight away from clicks on the adverts (PPC).

PROS

  • If you have some knowledge about a topic or have a passion you want to share with the world then a blog is a great outlet to do that. Even better it can be monetized!

CONS

  • Gaining traffic can be a long old slog. Writing a blog is no fun if nobody is reading or engaging with your content.

4. Promote other peoples products as an affiliate

Affiliating yourself with other people's products can be a great way of making money. They create the product and you take a slice of the profit for providing a sale. Awesome!
There are tons of affiliate schemes out there. You can sign up with sites like Clickbank or commission junction to find products that you want to promote. They list how much you will get for a sale and how well the products are converting.
Another big affiliate scheme is Amazon, commissions are pretty low but the wealth of physical products on Amazon means that you are never short of things to promote or talk about.
The work comes with promoting these products. You are going to need good ways of getting traffic.
Perhaps you own your own blog, adding reviews every so often with affiliate links should work well. Just don't appear spammy or recommend things that you don't actually endorse.
Building an email list is another great way to occasionally drop in products around other topics.

PROS

  • If you have good ways of delivering targeted traffic to a product then you can make impressive money.
  • If you are going to review something anyway then why not slip in a link that gives you commission?

CONS

  • You can find yourself promoting bad products that sell well but are ultimately poor for the user
  • Earnings can vary from one month to the next

5. Create and sell a digital product

Rather than promoting other peoples products, why not become a product creator yourself?
One of the most popular products that online sellers create are Ebooks. At the end of a long sales page, often with a time limit and discount you can buy an ebook that will teach you something new or perhaps 'change your life'.
But one of the best things about selling ebooks...is the price!
Seriously when was the last time you bought a book in the store for $97! Yet eBooks go for that kind of money all the time.
The eBook market is lucrative. It ultimately comes down to the fact that people are happy to part with a good amount of cash for someone else's knowledge or technique or solution to something. A great sales page that primes them and makes the product desirable also helps too!..
Another great thing - you can also get affiliates to help you sell your product. You lose a percentage of your profit but gaining the customers on the affiliates websites/email lists that might otherwise not have wanted your product is too valuable to ignore.
Don't want to create an eBook?
Selling eBooks is just one popular example. Perhaps you are a web designer or developer, how about rather than selling your time for money, create a web theme and sell that. Think about it, you create the item once and then sell it multiple times. Passive income at its finest.

PROS

  1. Passive income - Make something once and sell it again and again while you sleep
  2. Unlike traditional product selling, online eBooks or web themes have no distribution costs. There are very little costs involved!

CONS

  1. You might not feel you have the knowledge to write something that educates others or create something that people will buy.

6. Create a mobile app or software

Following on from our product example is another form of product: mobile apps and web/computer software.
Mobile is now a huge market that is too big to ignore. The App store on iOS and to a growing extent, the Google Play store are still growing exponentially. There are 1.3 Million apps on the Apple store (November 2014).
There is a huge market for apps but what I would say is that these markets are becoming more and more saturated. The easy money from simple apps has largely gone but there will always be surprises - see flappy birds.
But I don't know anything about programming!?
You have 2 options here. Learn how to program (cheaper but time consuming) or pay somebody else to create your idea. Perhaps if you have a good idea you could get somebody to do a joint venture with you.
It is all about ideas though, while a number of developers make some bucks cloning and slightly tweaking existing apps. A unique and original app that captures peoples attention, and hopefully goes viral is going to bring home the big money.
Premium apps charge the user to download, many developers will make apps free to entice a user but monetize with in-app advertising. Another growing model is 'freemium' this is where an app is free but users must pay to unlock further content within the app.

PROS

  • A booming market means that there are many eyeballs waiting to purchase or click ads on your app.

CONS

  • Apple in particular have a strict process for letting apps on their store.
  • Apps can take a long time to develop with no guarantee of success and the days of simple 'beer chugging apps' are long gone.

7. Sell digital photos and stock imagery

A more creative way of selling products is by selling digital photography to micro stock websites like istockphoto or shutterstock.
Being handy behind a camera is important here but something more important is coming up with the right kind of photography. Like mobile apps the 'easy' or should i say 'obvious' photography requirements are mostly catered for.
What is required is creative thinking. A unique take on something or something that has not been done before.
Having said that though there will always be a requirement for generic business people shaking hands!!
Graphic designers can also create vector or photoshop images in the same way photographers do and sell them on micro stock sites. However from experience i would say this can be more time consuming and often pays less than photography.

PROS

  • Passive income. Stock imagery i uploaded several years ago still makes me money each and every month.
  • If you love taking photography then its an easy way to monetize your hobby

CONS

  • Very saturated market means the easy money has long gone, you need to think outside the box.
  • You will be asked to submit work to gain entry to the microstock site, make sure it is up to scratch!

Time to get started

And there you have it.
7 great ideas to get you thinking about how to start making money online.
If you can inject some creativity into any one of these methods and truly provide products or services with added value then you will be on the path to success.
Good luck!

7 steps for making easy cash with fiverr

There are plenty of ways to leverage fiverr.com to make money. Follow these 7 steps to success and you'll be doing it in no time.
1. Introducing Fiverr.com
Fiverr is an online marketplace where people sell their services (called gigs) for $5. Its free to join and a relatively easy way of making money if you can stand out from the crowd and offer a service that people want.
There are a huge amount of services on Fiverr, ranging from people writing articles for you to far more obscure ones; like crazy dancing, an Italian guy doing personalized Robert de Niro impressions or engraving your name onto orange peel.

WAIT, JUST 5 BUCKS?...

5 bucks might not seem much to you at first, but the key to Fiverr is scale!
Imagine if you were providing a popular service that continued to sell and most importantly was not a huge drain on your time.
That is the golden chalice for making money on Fiverr.
Not just that either, you can always add extras to your Fiverr services, this is called upselling. Hook the buyer and then offer them further services when they are making their purchase.

Methods for success:

Don't just jump in blindly.
Fiverr is a marketplace with well established sellers at the top, all the way down to people making only the occasional sale and some with none at all. However, if you provide value its pretty easy to make a quick sale. After all, to the buyer its only 5 bucks right?
So explore the marketplace first and see what is popular and has a keen market of buyers. Rather than copying a seller, create your own spin on proven gigs so that you can offer something unique.
MAKE SURE YOU DON'T UNDERVALUE YOUR TIME.
When starting out it can be worth overdelivering on a service to get some good reviews to start you off. However, in the long run you don't want to be spending hours delivering each gig. So it's important to only deliver gigs that you can deliver on in a fair amount of time for $5.

2. Create a service that is popular and sustainable

Some of the best gigs are the simplest. They take little time and sell extremely well. Here are some ideas to get you started:

NARRATION AND VIDEO REVIEWS

Photogenic or do you have a good voice? Reading out dialogue on camera is easy, a couple practice runs, press record, upload it and you are done. Just make sure you are happy committing to film what is sent to you!

PHOTOSHOP/VIDEO SKILLS

Do you have multimedia or graphic design skills? Then how about creating a short animated piece that can can be customized to include a buyers image or logo. Similarly this could work with a stylized photograph. Create it once and then quickly adapt it for each buyer. Rinse and repeat.

RUNNING SOFTWARE

Popular with internet marketers, people who have purchased backlinking or article spinning software often run their tool for users on fiverr. Purchase a product once and then run it again and again for profit.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEGE

If you have good knowlege in a certain field that can help others, then yes, people will pay for that! Some Fiverr sellers will critique a website or squeeze page. Give fashion or makeup advice, teach music lessons, give IT help, pet advice or business tips.
These examples are but a drop in the ocean of things that will work on Fiverr.
Be creative and find a gap in the market.
But I can't stress enough. Make sure that it is worth your while. Offering full service web design for $5 is not such a clever idea! (you would be suprised but some people do..)

3. Choose a catchy title

If you want people to take notice of your gig then you need an eye catching title. Titles like 'I will make a logo for $5" are bad titles. Be more descriptive! A better example would be "I will design you a KILLER logo that gets you noticed" or "I will create an eye catching, UNIQUE and professional logo." Bottom line - be creative with your title or people will skip past your gig.
Tip - Use caps to stand out. Fiverr allow ONE word to be in caps, so take advantage of this to get noticed.

4. Choose the correct image to really stand out

As with a creative title, the image is the other first impression you get to make. Generic photos won't get you anywhere. You need custom designed images that represents your gig. If you have Adobe Photoshop then create one yourself. If you can't use graphic design software then no problem - find somebody on Fiverr who can!

5. Create detailed descriptions

If a user has clicked through to find out more about your gig then you are half way to a conversion. Think of this as your sales page, this is your chance to grab them and convert them into buyers. Here is your blank canvas to explain why your service is GREAT, be descriptive, list the benefits and features of your service in a clear and professional way.
Tip - To really make your 'sales page' stand out then add a video. If you can be interesting or humourous this can go a long way into swaying buyers to choose your gig over the competition.

6. Tags and keywords

To make money you need buyers. To get buyers into your 'store' they need to be able to find you. One of the most important tasks is to tag your gig correctly so that it will rank where it should in Fiverr's search results. Have a minimum of 3 relevant tags.
Tip - Don't keyword spam. Adding keywords that are not relevant to your service can have a negative impact.

7. Upselling with Gig EXTRAS

Always add Gig Extras if you can, when somebody is about to part with cash for something, they are in the buying mood and slipping in a few extras is relatively easy.
Think outside the box here - could you offer a more premium version of the base service? Over deliver on something or offer extras that make it a no brainer to pay that bit extra? What if for only $5 they could jump the queue and have your service delivered faster? http://moneytuts.com/articles/7-steps-for-making-fast-cash-with-fiverr
