Top 10 Internet Scams

Top 10 Internet Scams
Anti Fraud News Presents it’s Top 10 Internet Scams list. You may use this information to warn your family and friends.
1. Dating/Love/Romance Scam. In the modern Western world where the family nucleus has been eroded and so many of us are living alone, online dating is booming. It didn’t take long for Scammers to realise this and exploit the market. In the classic Dating/Love/Romance Scam, the Scammer opens a fake dating site profile using stolen photos. The male Dating/Love/Romance Scammers are often located in West Africa, with the female Scammers often based in Eastern Europe. The prospective Victim is contacted by the Scammer who engages them in Instant Messaging, e.mail, and finally phone calls. The aim is always to extract money and the Scammer will offer to travel to the Victim. Ploys include:
a. On the way to the airport, the Scammer (and sometimes, his/her child) has a road accident or is violently robbed at gunpoint and hospital fees are urgently requested.
b. Visa fees are required.
This Scam is so successful because dumpy, middle-aged Westerners are flattered and delighted that a gorgeous, svelte young thing finds them totally irresistible!
2. Lottery Scam. You receive an e.mail advising that you have won a lottery that you cannot recall ever entering. It is often allegedly sponsored by Coca-Cola or a major car manufacturer. Of course, to claim your millions there are fees to be paid.
3. Loan Scam. In this, the worst economic recession for many decades, the Loan Scam is one of the few areas of business that is booming! You receive an e.mail almost invariably from a free e.mail address (eg, gmail) offering you an unlimited loan at a very low interest rate. All you have to do is provide a few scant details about yourself, fill out an application, pay a fee, and the cash is yours. Yeah…..right!
4. Money Laundering. An e.mail arrives, ostensibly from a West African official (often the Chairman of the Central Bank of Nigeria, currently Sanusi Lamido Sanusi) advising that he has millions of dollars illicitly hidden away, just waiting for a helpful Westerner like you to help get it out of his country. Just provide your bank account details and the fortune will be transferred. He will arrange to obtain his share, leaving a big chunk for you. But wait!…..there’s a hiccup. A Barrister/Diplomat/Bank Manager (insert your own official here) has to be bribed before the funds may be transferred.
5. Dead Relative Scam. A relative you didn’t know you had has just died in West Africa. Behold! They died a millionaire and this kind Barrister wants to get your inheritance safely across the world to you. Of course, he has to be paid… (again, and again, and again…).
6. Dying Person Scam. A variant on the Dead Relative Scam. A wealthy philanthropist is lying on their death bed. Their Doctor/Carer/Relative, etc, has chosen you to carry on their good work and invest the fortune for them. The monies will soon be in your account, once you have paid a fee (insert reason here).
7. Property Rental Scam. An ad in Craigslist, Gumtree, etc, catches your eye. Wow! A beautiful flat or house is for rent and at a great price. You drool over the pics of your opulent new home. The owner just wants the rent sent upfront by MoneyGram or Western Union before you can meet him and view the property. Ah!
8. Trunk Box Scam. Soldier in Afghanistan (or etc) has a Trunk Box full of cash. Can you help him get it home and share the booty?
9. Puppy Scam. Awwww! Just LOOK at these gorgeous, big-eyed little pups! British Bulldogs (or insert your favourite breed here). There will be friction marks on your mouse as you get that money sent and wait impatiently for the air courier to deliver your little ball of furry mischief. Just don’t become too attached to that photo…..
10. Gold Scam. Got at least $30 000 USD to invest? Well, these Gold Sellers from Ghana/Guinea/Mali (etc) can offer you kilograms of gold (in coins, dust, or bars) at incredible prices. They will even agree to send you a small 5g sample for you to have assayed to confirm its quality and carat. Then, you just send the money and your gold will be sent by courier (but not in your lifetime).
Rounding Up
There are many other types of Scam, but the above Top Ten Internet Scams are some of the most common. Just remember to always be on your guard when you receive what seems to be a great offer over the internet! http://www.antifraudnews.com/top-10-internet-scams/

10 Things Unsuccessful People Say

If you find yourself saying these things, STOP – before it’s too late…
How you talk (to yourself and others) is vital for your success. Do you say the right things?
Here’s what to avoid saying (the best one is at the end BTW)…
(If you can think of any more, please share them in the comments bellow)
It can’t be done
Unsuccessful people say things can’t be done. History is littered with people who did things that couldn’t be done. In order to be successful you often have to innovate. You cannot innovate without believing you can do something that hasn’t been done before.
I can’t…
Don’t let your abilities stop you. Learn a new skill, or hire someone to do it. Bill Gates stopped programming in the 80′s, and paid more talented programmers to do it for him.
I can do it all myself
Maybe you can, but if you do, you are likely to become a one man band running a small business. Sometimes you need to outsource to specialists who are better than you at certain tasks.
Don’t trust anyone
Trust is vital when running a business. Lack of trust will hold you back. You will be too fearful to do anything.
You must trust employees if you want to get the best out of them. You must trust customers not to abuse guarantees. And you must trust in your own abilities.
I’m frightened of criticism
If you become successful, you WILL receive criticism. Someone will disagree with something you do. Listen and learn, but don’t let it stop you pursuing your plan of action.
I’m right, you’re wrong
You can’t be right ALL the time. It doesn’t make you look weak admitting you’re wrong. It makes you look strong. It also gives you the opportunity to learn from other peoples’ experiences.
I like to please everyone
Many people fail because they try to please everyone. If you do then you are likely to get nowhere. For example, people in your life will probably want you to play safe and get a “proper job”. If you please them you won’t go far.
Everyone has there differing opinions as to what you should do. Listen to them, but find your own way.
It’s too risky
You can’t be successful without taking some risks. Don’t be reckless, but be prepared to take a chance.
It’s not my fault
There’s nothing wrong with things going wrong – at least you’re trying. Things ALWAYS go wrong. Learn from them and laugh at them. It’s how you handle them that counts. If you are fearful of mistakes, then you will be too afraid to try new things.
Also if you don’t take responsibility for things going wrong, then it implies that those around you are wrong. This is not the way to build team unity.
I’ll be successful one day
“One day” never happens. Convince yourself you are successful NOW, and be grateful for all you have, and all you’ve achieved. http://www.affiliatehelp.info/2014/06/25/10-things-unsuccessful-people-say/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+affiliatehelp%2FyPyX+%28AffiliateHelp%29

7 Ways to BE Yourself and find happiness

Happiness
In the wake of the tragic loss of Robin Williams, it really puts a perspective on life. It seems it’s always the ones that you least expect that are in the most need.
Ones that have brought magic, laughter and joy to millions of people, are in so much pain internally.
Unhappiness is very real and unfortunately the sad reality is that it takes a celebrity taking their own life, to really pull down the curtains of the stigma surrounding depression and talk about the topic freely.
While there’s certainly no easy way to say that there’s an easy fix to un-happiness and depression, the most important thing to note is that happiness starts from inside.
Happiness all starts with being yourself and truly understanding who you are.
Positive Provacations did a great article on  being yourself and we share it with you here:
7 ways to BE yourself

1} Redefine yourself:

Your primary goal should be to know, understand and accept yourself. Take out time to contemplate on your life’s choices. Try to think about what kind of things you would or wouldn’t like to do, and act accordingly; finding out through trial and error helps more than you know. Work on accepting mistakes and choices you’ve made; they’re done and in the past, so there is no use crying over spilled milk.

2} Bid farewell to others perceptions:

It’s impossible to be yourself when you’re caught up in wondering “Do they like me? Does she think I’m fat? Do they think I’m smart?” To be yourself, you’ve got to let go of these concerns and just let your behavior flow. What you think and know of yourself is important not what others think of you.
Don’t wear different masks to please different people. this won’t bring you happiness….you will ultimately lose yourself.
Be you, be authentic without being rude and self-indulgent.

3} Simply BE Honest and Open:

We’re all imperfect, evolving, learning human beings. If there are aspects of yourself you are uncomfortable with— and you feel that you have to hide those parts of you, physically or emotionally — then you have to come to terms with that and learn to convert your so-called flaws into positive quirks.
Be honest with yourself, but don’t beat yourself up; apply this philosophy to others, as well.
There is a difference between being critical and being honest; learn to watch the way you say things to yourself and others when being honest. Happiness comes with honesty.

4} Calm down and laugh a bit:

Stop worrying about the worst, especially in social situations. So what if you fall flat on your face? Or have candy stuck on your hair? Learn to laugh at yourself both when it happens and afterwards. Turn it into a fun story that you can share with friends & family. It makes you feel more at ease with yourself.
My funny quirk: I can leterally finish bars and bars of chocolate in one go. If you want to buy me over just give me chocolate ;) Relax, breathe and enjoy each experience as it comes. Life can be fun if we let it.

5} Develop your authentic self:

Develop and express your authenticity. Whether it’s your sense of style, or even your manner of speaking, if your preferred way of doing something strays from the rest of the crowd, then be proud of it.
Follow your own style. The common thing a lot of people do is copy others actions because it seems like the better route to fit in, but really its the best way to lose yourself in the crowd.

6} Acceptance is key:

Accept that sometimes you are really fun to be with and sometimes you just might want to be left alone. Its ok. Accept what your heart tells and do that. People might raise eyebrows, but as long as you can say “Hey, that’s just me being ME” (without being obnoxious) and leave it at that, people will ultimately respect you for it, and you’ll respect yourself.

7} Begin to Believe in You:

When we constantly try to be like someone else, how can we be happy? Be yourself and show the world you’re proud of the way you are!
You deserve to be your own best friend, so start trying to figure out how you can do that. If you had to spend the day with yourself, which version of YOU would you spend it with? Work on this best version. Believe in this YOU and use that as your starting point.
Lovingly accept yourself as you are now and you’ll be that much closer to happiness.http://thesuccesssoup.com/motivation/7-ways-to-be-yourself-happiness/

LEARN the SECRETS to an INCOME from home

9 Steps to Achieving Goals

ACHIEVING GOALS
Setting goals will put you on the right road to success. It’s the beginning steps for your entrepreneurial journey and achieving goals is the destination.
But ultimately where most entrepreneurs get lost, is on the road.
- They run out of gas
- Get lost
- Get tired
- Change direction
or 101 other things that happen on the journey and cause them to “Fail”
If you’ve set yourself some goals, here’s 9 steps that may help achieve those goals and stay on the road.
Achieving goals. 9 steps to help:

1) Set a “WHAT” and a “WHY”

Despite the hundreds of motivational speakers and personal development self help books in the market, the majority of people that pay to see these speakers or read their books will live an average life. There’s nothing wrong with an average life, but if you want greatness then you have to act like it.
The reason they’ll live an average life is because despite the pep talks, they haven’t discovered what it is they truly want to do or why.
The first step, is truly understanding WHAT it is that you want in life and WHY.
Ask yourself what you truly want to achieve. Dig deep.
- Personal growth
- Financial growth
- Spiritual growth
Once you know WHAT it is you want, dig even deeper until you can ask yourself WHY you want those things.
If you want financial growth, it may be because you want to provide a good life for your family. This then becomes your “WHY”.
Without a “WHAT” or a  “WHY”, achieving goals will become a constant uphill battle.

2) Draw up a plan of action

Drawing up a plan needs of action needs to be practical and realistic. Lets say you’re living an unhealthy lifestyle and you’re overweight.
- Your “WHAT” is to lose 20 pounds.
- Your “WHY” is because you want to feel better about yourself.
Your plan of action is to eat less.
Wrong.
This isn’t practical. You’re living an unhealthy lifestyle and you need to start drawing up a plan of action that’s practical and realistic if you want to start achieving goals. Don’t just force yourself to stop eating food, set yourself practical mini tasks.
1. See a dietician
2. Educate yourself on healthy living and eating
3. Set yourself up with an exercise plan
4. Set weekly weight loss targets
5. Plan rewards for those targets (NOT with food)
By setting a plan of attack that’s realistic and acheivable, you’ll be in a better frame of mind to tackle your goals.

3) Act, do not be passive

The most obvious follow up to number 2 is to take ACTION.
Action is what separates the winners from the losers and what will dictate wherther you end up achieving goals in life.
If you set goals and fail to take action, what happens? You lose confidence. So what happens next time you set goals? You do it subconciously with LESS confidence. This happens over and over and It becomes a vicious cycle.
If you want to succeed at something, setting goals will only take you half way. Taking action and achieving goals is the other half and you can’t do that without massive action.

4) Learn and listen

Educate yourself on what you want to achieve. Setting goals is practical and achieving goals is a science. Others have done it before you and others will do it again. Success leaves clues, so LEARN about those clues. Meet people who can help you and listen to their advice.
If you want to move forward in life, you need to leave your ego at the front door and be willing to take in new information.

5) Contingency plan

Someones there’s more than one key to a door.
Not EVERYTHING will work for EVERYONE. Something that might have worked before for one person, might be the wrong approach for another. Don’t let it stop you from achieving goals.
Setting goals is done with an ideal outcome. Sometimes you may have to deviate from your plan to achieve that outcome. Relax, it’s normal

6) Re-assess your goals regularly

On the flip side, sometimes your goals might change. Circumstances change and people change.
Some goals lose their importance.
It is a good idea to re-examine your goals regularly and weed out the ones that don’t serve to make you happy. Ultimately the reason for setting goals is to achieve happiness.
Always bring it back to your “WHAT” and your “WHY”. I always suggest that you ask “WHY” twice.
Your “WHAT” may be losing 20 pounds
Your “WHY” may be to feel better about yourself
Your second “WHY” is because if you feel better about yourself then you’ll be HAPPIER. Happiness will ALWAYS be the answer to the second “WHY”
If your circumstances in life change, your goals might too. Re-assess them regularly.

7) Repeat affirmations

There’s a reason that affirmations exist. Affirmations have this “Stigma” about them that seems almost “Uncool”.
You don’t want to stand in front of a mirror and repeat over and over that “You can do it”. Seems kind of lame right?
But what about the Spurs. I bet they have team affirmations. I bet when they’re in the change rooms getting pumped up for a game, they have a chant or an affirmation. Is that uncool? Is that lame? Not when they won the NBA championships!
It’s all conceptual. We make assumptions in our OWN minds. Who cares what anyone thinks. Affirmations WORK because they’re subconciously programming your brain to believe the things you’re telling yourself. It’s a scientific reaction.
Affirm with faith and feelings that your goal has already been achieved. If you don’t undo your affirmations with doubts and lack of belief, they will be accepted by your subconscious mind, which will then provide you with more desire and motivation.
Achieving goals is a science and so are affirmations.

8) Visualize your goal

Visualization will also affect your subconscious mind, which will keep you motivated, focused on your goal, and more aware of ideas and opportunities. Setting goals will put you on the right road but affirmations and visualizations will keep you driving when you’re almost out of gas. Achieving goals.
Visualizing also helps trigger your subconcious mind, but with sensory reactions. If you want a new car, picture yourself driving with the windows down and the wind blowing in your hair (Or on your face for our bald friends)

9) Take action

A re-iteration of number 3 because really with OUT action, your visualizations and affirmations will lead to nothing. Unfortunately my friends you can’t stare in a mirror, picture yourself in a Mercedes and tell yourself you can have it. Unfortunately that won’t magically make it appear in your driveway.
ACTION is the cornerstone to setting goals and achieving goals.
Don’t just affirm and visualize and do nothing. Take any action required to bring your goal into fruition. Follow your intuition, new ideas and opportunities that present themselves, and accept help from other people.
While this isn’t the “Achieving goals” bible, you can bet that these 9 steps WILL dramatically increase your chances are reaching your goals and creating success, wealth and abundance in your life.http://thesuccesssoup.com/motivation/9-steps-achieving-goals/
